You're invited to Pack's first ever Halloween contest!

Pack is the place for the best Halloween dog photos on the world wide internets. (Challenge: accepted). So we've put together a fun, easy, one day contest with great prizes from Barkbox and Etsy.

We want to see your pup on pumpkins, in costume, out on an autumn hike, frolicking in fall leaves, trick or treating in your 'hood… whatever your Halloween looks like, we know your dog is by your side.

Here's how it works!

1. Create your best Halloween themed post on Pack. Whatever that means to you.

2. We now have hashtags! So tag your post with #halloween in one of your own comments and you're in the running! It's that easy.

Oh, and: Yes, you're allowed to tag your older posts to enter them into the contest. For example, if you've already posted your best pumpkin pup photo possible, just enter it by posting a comment on that Post with the tag #halloween.

Oh x 2: Yes, you can enter multiple posts into the contest! Play the odds. But make them great, because junky posts or off-topic posts will hurt your chances.

3. From now through the end of the night on Halloween, every hour or so we will select the very best post as a special Halloween Editor's Pick. If your post is selected you'll get an email right away and your post will show as a Halloween Pick on the site.

4. Prizes. There are 31 winners! (And a grand prize, of course). The supercool people at Barkbox are giving #halloween winners a free 1 month, 1 time, no subscription required, no strings attached Barkbox for your dog. It's like a grab bag full of surprises for your dog delivered right to your door.

5. DING DING DING! Out of all the 31 winners, we'll pick the ONE apple of our eye. The Halloween Pack grand prize winner gets a $250 gift card to spend on Etsy. There's more awesome handcrafted dog stuff on Etsy than we can shake a broomstick at. The Etsy winner will be posted here on the Pack blog and notified on Friday morning, so do what you can to get a lot of loves on your entry and catch our eye.

Happy #halloween!
